"Anecdotes are more reliable than facts"

Stories are better than facts," We all tell stories. From the cave age to the age of digital imaging, humans everywhere seem to be telling stories in prose, poetry, song, and dance. Anthropology even says that if it were not for these stories, a man might not even exist today. These stories formed the basis of communication and dialogue.

"Life and nothing else is your story"

It is these stories that continue to transmit culture and knowledge to the human race through social civilization, exemplary development, and warning information.

Speaking to DW, Indian-British storyteller Chitra Sundar says, “I think stories are everywhere.

Because advertising is a story. Explaining something to children in the classroom is a story or why I was late to school today is all storytelling, because the better the story you tell, the better the result you will get. Our politicians are storytellers. He would not have been elected if he had not told a good story.
A born storyteller
Storytelling in a variety of oral, written, digital, and visual media has been around for centuries, primarily through voice and body movements.

Storytelling involves not only words but also rhymes, intonation, song, and even dance.
Sundar, who is a children's story writer, says that her talent for storytelling was revealed in her childhood. Sundar, who won the prize for storytelling for the first time in her student days, says, "I have been connected with storytelling since I was about four or five years old.

My whole family is a storyteller. My mother is a drama writer and my grandmother used to tell us many stories.
Sundar once used to narrate stories to her cousins who stayed at her home, but now she usually narrates stories to children in schools, libraries, and literary events. She explains that through stories, children can be made aware of natural phenomena or climate change in different ways.

Storytelling will never end
Chitra Sunder believes that the race of the digital age has its place, but storytelling has its place. However, the methods of storytelling are changing now. “Animation is storytelling, now it uses a different technology. Be it Tik Tok, Facebook or we write a letter, these are all stories. We're using different technology now, but storytelling is still there."
