Meeting of the traders of China Market and Murree Road with Commissioner Rawalpindi, briefing about the problems faced
Rawalpindi Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Liaquat Ali Chatta was met by a delegation of traders from China Market and Murree Road and briefed on the problems faced in their areas. Liaquat Ali Chatta was directed to immediately clean the service road in front of Rabi Centre, Gulf Centre, Ashiana Center, and Midway Mall from stalls on the indications of traders.He said that unruly crowding due to stalls leads to the passing of customers and traffic jams as well as safety concerns which need to be addressed immediately. Commissioner Rawalpindi said that our aim is not to take away anyone's job, but to provide a safe environment to traders and customers through law enforcement, the drivers will be given an alternative place for their business.
He said that Ghala Mandi has been declared a night market after 7 pm where carters can park their carts. He directed the traders to identify a place adjacent to Murree Road where the night bazaar can be started. Liaquat Ali Chatta further said that the parking spaces in all the plazas should be used, operations are being conducted against all such plazas that have shown the basement as a parking lot while getting the map approved, and later completed the parking there and built shops.
