 Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif announced a Rs 50 per liter subsidy on petrol for motorcycles, rickshaws, and vehicles up to 800 cc. While announcing the subsidy of 50 rupees per liter, it has been directed that all the low-income consumers who use motorcycles, rickshaws, and other small vehicles including 800 ccs should be included in the petroleum subsidy for the low-income poor people. The practical program should be completed as soon as possible, for the effective implementation of petroleum subsidy, all relevant institutions should formulate a comprehensive strategy with cooperation.

According to the statement issued by the media wing of the Prime Minister's Office, a review meeting on the petroleum relief package for low-income petroleum consumers was held in Lahore under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
In the meeting, a petroleum relief package of up to 50 rupees per liter will be given to the poor people. go

He directed that the practical program of petroleum subsidy should be completed as soon as possible and all relevant institutions should formulate a comprehensive strategy with cooperation for the effective implementation of petroleum subsidy.  Addressing the meeting, he said that despite severe economic difficulties, the government is trying to help the poor people in every possible way
