According to a report, TikTok is working on a new paywall feature through which creators will grant access to certain videos for a dollar (or a fee they decide).
It is not yet clear how this feature will work, but it will allow Tikor users to earn directly from their viral videos. This makes it very difficult for users to generate revenue.
A user needs to have 100,000 followers for Tik Tok Creator Fund and this is the reason why people are calling for this change.
A Tik Tok spokesperson declined to comment on new plans, saying, "We are committed to making our service more valuable to creators."
It is not yet clear when the paywall feature will be available to users worldwide, but the new Crater Fund is expected to be introduced in March.
According to reports, the new funding system is being tested by the company in Brazil and France.
