February 27, 2023) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa businessmen have welcomed the government's permission to export trucks through the Torkham border as well as Ghulam Khan and Kharlachi trade routes. It is said that this initiative will not only speed up the process of export, but the promotion of commercial activities in the mentioned areas will create employment opportunities and will also usher in a new era of prosperity.
Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Mohammad Ishaq and Pak-Afghan Giant Chambers of Commerce and Industry Director and Coordinator Ziaul Haq Sarhadhi while talking to reporters said that in light of the instructions of Chief Collector Customs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Saleem, Torkham Borders Along with this, export permission has been given from Ghulam Khan and Kharlachi trade corridors and full assurance of the provision of all facilities has also been given.
He said that the business community highly appreciates the decision taken by the government and the customs department. He said that Pakistan-Afghan mutual trade and transit trade will accelerate after the export trucks loaded with Pakistani products are allowed through Torkham as well as Ghulam Khan and Kharlachi corridors and due to the provision of facilities to Pak-Afghan businessmen, both countries will move towards stability, development, and prosperity in the economy.
President of Border Chamber Muhammad Ishaq told reporters that Pak-Afghan mutual trade and transit process has been completely restored after being stalled for the last five days, which is a welcome thing, while Chief Collector of Customs Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Considering the difficulties of the business community, Salim allowed export trucks loaded with sugar and other food items to trade with Afghanistan and Central Asian countries through the Ghulam Khan and Kharlachi trade routes, which is an important step to speed up the trade process.
The President of Sarhad Chamber and Director of Giant Chambers thanked the Chief Collector of Customs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Saleem, Chairman of FBR Asim Ahmed, Member of Customs FBR Mukram Jah Ansari, senior officials of National Logistics Cell and local administration, and other related institutions and hoped He expressed that the relevant institutions will continue to take practical steps for the promotion of Pak-Afghan mutual trade and transit trade.
