 TSMC will build a 3nm foundry in the US instead of Europe. Last year, TSMC announced that it would invest $10-12 billion to build a chip factory in Phoenix, Arizona. Setting up a chip factory is not an easy task. It takes years.  Now TSMC will set up a 3nm process chip factory in the US. The manufacturing of this factory will cost 23 to 25 billion dollars. Previously, TSMC was looking at places for chip factories in Europe, but according to the latest report, the company will set up factories in Phoenix, Arizona. It will take ten to fifteen years.
