But now the feature of animated emojis has been introduced in the messaging app owned by Meta.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, a website that monitors WhatsApp updates, this feature has been introduced in the desktop beta version.

The report said that for the production of these animated emojis, a file format called Lottie has been used, which is considered best for mobile devices. This file format will make it possible to use this feature even on cheap phones.

This feature is still in beta version so it is hard to say when it can be rolled out to general users.

Likewise, it is not known how long it will be available on phones beyond the desktop.

A similar feature has been present in WhatsApp's rival app Telegram for a long time.
