China plans to start building a base on the moon within 5 years

China plans to start building a base on the moon within 5 years China is planning to start building a base station on the moon in the next 5 years.

According to the report of the South China Morning Post, the scientists associated with the project said that the construction of this base will begin by making bricks from the dust on the surface of the moon. Ding Lieyun, a scientist from the Guangzhou University of Science and Technology, said that the moon's first brick-to-round is expected to be produced during the Chang'e-8 mission in 2028.

In the past, there were reports that China's base station on the moon would be powered by nuclear energy.

However, it is not yet clear whether the entire base will be built from the core on the moon's surface or only specific parts.

According to Ding Lieyun, 'the gradual construction of extraterrestrial shelters will not only be necessary for space exploration, but also necessary for China to become a space power'.

It should be noted that China has sent missions to the Moon while it has also built its own space station and is preparing to send a mission to Mars.

China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation scientist Yu Dengyun also gave details of the missions to be sent to the moon in the near future.

According to him, in 2025, the Chang'e-6 mission will be sent to the moon to collect samples from the remote parts of the moon.

This will be followed in 2026 by the Chang'e 7 mission, which will search for water ice on the moon, while the Chang'e 8 mission will be launched in 2028.
