Hepburnshire Mayor Brian Hood says he is preparing to file a defamation suit against ChatGPT for spreading false information about him, if ChatGPT does not remove the false information. A case will be filed.
Lawyers for Hepburnshire Mayor Brian Hood wrote to OpenAI on March 21 outlining their concerns, giving them 28 days to correct the error.
Brian Hood said that in November last year, when council members and citizens identified him, he learned that false information was being spread about him on ChatChat and that in 2000, he was arrested by the Foreign Office of the Bank of Australia's Note Publishing Branch. He has been convicted in a bribery scandal. He said he was associated with the note-printing branch of the Reserve Bank of Australia, but it was he who identified bribes to bank authorities for contracts to print notes to foreign officials. Experts believe that if Mayor Brian Hood files a lawsuit, it will be the world's first lawsuit against this new invention of artificial intelligence.
