A big change has been quietly made to Facebook

Facebook, the world's most popular social media network, has quietly made a change to its desktop version that most people are unaware of.

In fact, this change will change the experience of using Facebook on the desktop version.

If you didn't know, Facebook has introduced 2 home feeds for the desktop version after the Android and iOS apps.

One is the usual home feed that you see after signing in to Facebook, where the algorithmic system determines posts. It is possible to see new posts from Facebook Pages and Favorites accounts, while Suggested for You posts will not appear there.

This new home feed is hidden in the Most Recent option on the left side of the Facebook website, which has been renamed to Feeds (Most Recent).

While introducing this change to mobile apps in July 2022, Mark Zuckerberg mentioned that a feature that was highly requested by users was that they wanted to see all their friends' posts. Keep in mind that content is recommended by algorithms based on potential user interest on Facebook, but the desktop version's new home feed is essentially a discovery engine for the latest posts.

Meta's move to Facebook appears to be part of its efforts to make the social media network more like TikTok.

TikTok has also added a number of new feeds in recent months so that users can easily find content based on their favorite topics.
