Sindh's reservations about the census

After the announcement, the anxiety of researchers and political leaders of Sindh has decreased to some extent, but some political circles of Sindh have doubts that the federal government may back down from this decision, so these circles are not completely satisfied with this announcement of the government. They are of the opinion that the government currently wants to reduce the severe reaction in Sindh to some extent, while it is likely that when the time comes, the elections will turn Sindh into a one-unit colony once again according to the 2023 census. Therefore, these circles believe that we should not give up our struggle. However, I would like to present these objections to some extent in this column so that people across the country can know what are the objections of Sindh on this census. These objections and the stand presented by different circles on different occasions have said that "the current census has become more controversial than the 2017 census because Pakistan The Bureau of Statistics (PBS) has reduced the census of Sindh to such an extent that it has become highly undesirable and cannot be accepted by the people of Sindh. This body took over the powers of CCI and established a new body called Senses Advisory Committee on February 2021. 5 employees of the federal government have been included in this committee, 5 experts have been included from Islamabad and Punjab, a PBS. A retired employee is included in this committee and one member each from Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces was included while no representative of Sindh was included in this committee. Also, the use of block maps made many years ago, which have been licked off by Kodimak and rendered unusable, during the enumeration of households, apart from the method of giving dates on the dates of the population enumeration, has made this census very difficult for the whole nation in particular. From the beginning, the researchers and intellectuals of Sindh were afraid that the Federal Bureau of Statistics would undercount the population of Sindh, this is very sad. It is a matter of fact that the population of Sindh is extremely undercounted, so the current census has become much more controversial than the 2017 census. Such complaints are also coming from Balochistan and KP provinces
