In the Senate session, the resolution to hold the election on time was approved, the resolution was presented by Senator Mushtaq Ahmed of Jamaat-e-Islami.

It has been said in the resolution that elections must be held within the stipulated time, the caretaker government can only make day-to-day decisions for the interim period, holding elections is not the prerogative of the Election Commission but its constitutional duty.

Prime Minister Nazir Tarar said that the Election Commission should conduct the election according to the constitution and law.

Senator Raza Rabbani said that the government started the process of approving the bills by hiding them from the House. not correct.
