In Iran, a fire broke out in the forests of northern Tehran due to extreme heat, due to which the mines in the security zone around the prison exploded.

According to foreign media, the fire only lasted for a few minutes, which was immediately controlled. There was no damage to the jail due to the fire and no casualties were reported in the incident.

According to reports, Avon Jail is also surrounded by electric barbed wire. The prison houses political prisoners as well as foreigners and dual nationals.

According to foreign media, 8 people died due to a fire in a part of this prison in October last year.

It should be noted that the temperature in different cities of Iran these days is much higher than normal.
