Sugarcane farmers in many places say that since they are not getting proper price for sugarcane, they thought it better to install sugarcane mills and produce sugarcane molasses to end the monopoly of sugar mill owners. .
He said that due to the increase in the price of sugar, the use of jaggery and sugar has started again and its demand is increasing day by day. He said that they are benefiting greatly in the production of jaggery as the sugarcane residue remaining after extracting the juice is ready to be bought by the kiln owners at high prices.
Thus, in areas where there is shortage of fodder and straw, sugarcane husks and leaves are also being used as animal fodder and straw, from which the farmers are also getting extra money.
On the other hand, there is also a fear that if the production of molasses from sugarcane continues in the same way, there may be a severe shortage of sugar again next year. Besides, sugarcane crop is still standing on a wide area in different districts. is in the condition due to which the cultivation of wheat is causing extreme delay and due to this there is a fear of falling short of the target of wheat cultivation during the current season.
