Federal Minister for Water Resources and Central Leader of People's Party Khurshid Shah has said that 5 names have been shortlisted for caretaker prime minister.

In an interview given to private TV, Khurshid Shah said that a member of a political party cannot become caretaker prime minister.

He said that he does not know who has given the name of Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar for caretaker prime minister. So far 5 names have been shortlisted.

The central leader of the People's Party further said that the final decision of who will be the caretaker prime minister will be taken by the ruling alliance Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), and the assemblies will be dissolved on August 9.

Khurshid Shah said that the first phase of the Four Project for Karachi will be completed by the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025.

He said that there should be an investigation against the people who spoiled this project in the past.
