Bail of SBCA officers rejected in case of extortion from builder

In the case of taking extortion from the builder by Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) officers and others, the bail application of two SBCA officers was rejected.

In the case of taking extortion from the builder by the officers of Sindh Building Control Authority and others, the Sindh High Court gave its verdict on the bail application of two SBCA officers.

The court rejected the bail application of Deputy Director SBCA Owais Hussain and Building Inspector Ziaur Rehman.

According to the prosecution, the accused had demanded Rs 40 lakh from the owner of the project under construction on MA Jinnah Road and said that give Rs 40 lakh or they will demolish your project.

The plaintiff sued had given Rs 5 lakh to the SBCA officers and asked to pay the remaining Rs 35 lakh later.
