Later, the Pakistan Army acquired the ownership rights of this property from Ms Fatima Jinnah for 3 lakh 50 thousand rupees, which was a huge amount at that time, so it was converted into the official residence of the Corps Commander Lahore, where 27 Corps Commanders have resided so far. are

On May 9, Tehreek-e-Insaaf miscreants, reacting to the arrest of Imran Khan in a well-thought-out plan, attacked dozens of military sites and installations. Among the military sites was the building of Jinnah House, which was set on fire by miscreants and this historic building became a pile of rubble. This tragedy of terrorism shocked every Pakistani including me and made me think that the abode of the founder of Pakistan has been politicized. After the incident, it has become common for people belonging to different schools of thought to come in groups to see the destroyed historic building that was brutalized by miscreants and record their protest.

Recently, 3 children suffering from life-threatening diseases Make A Wish Foundation Pakistan, who was made part of the Pakistan Army for a day by the Pakistan Army, accompanied me from Karachi to Lahore and visited Jinnah House. These children suffering from cancer were very saddened by the terror attack on Jinnah House on May 9, they wanted to visit Jinnah House too. When these young soldiers dressed in military uniform saw the fire-destroyed building, depression was evident on their faces. While recording his comments, he wrote that "He was deeply saddened to see the condition of Jinnah House today, that the institution and the people associated with it, which he considered his hero, was targeted by terrorism, which deeply shocked him." I was also surprised and shocked to see the grey building of Jinnah House. I had seen the burnt building of Jinnah House on TV channels, but when I got close to it It was very sad to see that there was nothing left, including photos of Quaid-e-Azam, rare letters, gifts from abroad, valuable carpets, historic pianos, paintings and 6 government vehicles parked in the garage, which were not burnt. be Before setting the building on fire, the looting market became hot and whoever came into the hands of the miscreant, took it away. In this way, the miscreants did what the enemy could not do, and seeing the grey building, it seemed as if Israel had A Palestinian's house set on fire. On this occasion, I asked the military officer who visited Jinnah House why he allowed the miscreants to enter Jinnah House and why he did not deal with them with iron hands. It was said that the army never fires at its own people, if we did, dozens of people might have been killed, so we showed restraint. The May 9 tragedy was a huge conspiracy against Pakistan and its institutions It is an event that may never be forgotten. There is no doubt that the attacks on the state, its symbols, sensitive institutions and installations on May 9 have their roots in PTI leader Imran Khan, who was constantly criticizing the army chief and the institution, which was aimed at people. It was to create hatred in the hearts of the Pakistan Army and to incite them to mischief. In this way, the miscreants were given targets on which places to attack after the arrest of Imran Khan, which the nation witnessed on May 9.

For the armed forces of Pakistan, the May 9 tragedy is being described as America's 9/11 and Capitol Hill, which is an unforgivable and serious crime. The nation of Pakistan knows that the army is the guarantor of national security and it respects the great sacrifices of the army. There is a need to bring the miscreants to justice and prosecute them in military courts so that in the future no one can play with national security in the lust for power.
