Navalny is accused of founding a terrorist organization and funding its activities, allegations Navalny denies.
Navalny is serving a nine-year prison sentence on charges of parole violations, fraud and contempt of court.Since his capture in 2021, Navalny has been held in a remote colony.

Russian government prosecutors have demanded a 20-year prison sentence for the opposition leader in a 'special regime colony'.
The Special Regime colony usually houses Russia's most dangerous criminals.
In a message on social media ahead of the sentencing, Navalny said he would likely be given a 'Stalin-style' punishment in which dissidents are terrorized.
