The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNC) has approved various development projects worth Rs 485 billion, including laptop scheme, conversion of agricultural tubewells to solar, Lahore, Sahiwal, Bahawalnagar Motorway, education fund, water supply to Karachi and other projects. The approval of these development schemes and projects of various ministries in the country in the meeting chaired by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar is a clear manifestation of the government's determination for national development despite economic difficulties. 16 billion 80 crore rupees have been approved for the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme. This scheme will be completed in 2 years with the financing of the central government. The launch of the third phase of the Prime Minister's Laptop Scheme has paved the way for providing laptops to one lakh students studying at or near the standard level in recognized government universities of higher education and other institutions of higher education.
