The number of missing persons in the country has come to light
The Missing Persons Commission has submitted its progress report to the Supreme Court.

The report submitted to the Supreme Court said that the number of missing persons increased by 157 persons in the month of July, after which the total number of missing persons increased from 9736 to 9893.

The Missing Persons Commission report said that till July 31, a total of 7616 cases of missing persons have been disposed of and 2277 cases are pending.

The report also states that 690 cases of enforced disappearances have been reported so far this year while 615 cases have been disposed of.
